Face wash is not something I have ever wanted to spend an arm and a leg on, I'd rather save my funds for eye cream and facial moisturiser. My philosophy (no pun intended) on face wash is that it's only on your skin for a short period of time and it's "taking away", I like to put more emphasis on the products going onto my skin and soaking in all day and night. None the less washing my face is a major part of my beauty regimen and I make sure to never fall asleep without washing the day off.
Last year at the 2010 Nordstrom Anniversary sale I purchased a 32oz bottle of Philosophy purity face wash at the recommendation of my favorite beauty counter friend. (I'm a sucker, I know, I actually think these sales people are my friends.)
The bottle only cost $47.50 and it lasted me ALL year, in fact I just purchased my second bottle last week at the 2011 Nordstrom Anniversary sale. This bottle size is only available at the sale but they do sell the product year round. Purity has become my favorite face wash because it's so simple, helps me avoid breakouts, and it doesn't dry out my skin, plus I hear it's great for all skin types... that's according to my beauty counter friend. :)
