Stuck in a Rut...
Last weekend I went to Scottsdale and it was so fun to do something different, yes it was sunny which makes life better in general, but it was so refreshing to vary from my usual routine.
Work, dinner, The Bachelor, kickboxing, work... throw in a few dinners with friends, the boyfriend and family and that's about it. I always try to make the best of things and try to enjoy the moment but sometimes a change of scenery is necessary, which is what I'm setting a goal to do: change my scenery and my day-to-day routine.
I watch way to much reality television, I know I know it creates a false sense of reality but whatever I LOVE it and it makes me happy. (Actually typing those words I realize how pathetic I sound.) Anywho, the shows film the casts' going to fun restaurant and club openings, chic parties, and sophisticated luncheons and they are always some place new. No night is ever repeated and no party is the same.
The reality shows have inspired me and social media has made it easier then ever to get dialed into what's going on in your city. I've started following local bloggers and social net workers to see where the new happening spots are and local gems are that I've yet to try.
Wish me luck! Here are a few I can't wait to try:
Root Table in Ballard
(I've actually tried this restaurant and LOVED it, we did tapas and they were all good. BTW they have 1/2 off bottles of wine on Wednesday.)
Bake's Place in Bellevue
Cafe Juanita in Juanita
Bathtub Gin & Co in Belltown
